One major beauty secret is that one should always remove their makeup after a long day this is due to removing any excess oils and dirt on the face, which clogs up the pores and in turn get us to break out which let's face it, none of us want to endure. However, something equally as important to prevent pimples is washing your makeup brushes regularly, this is something that many don't follow religiously or don't even realise at how much of an effect it has towards our skin. If you had to zoom in and see how much dirt accumulates onto the brushes you will make it part of your beauty routine in a flash. I wash my brushes every Sunday (or I try to at least) - I used to buy the Mac cleanser for makeup brushes which cost £12 and work's just fine. Sure it's not the thing that cost the most, but considering how frequently we should be cleaning our brushes it's not long after we will be running out and having to buy another bottle. This is why making an at home cleanser, which does the job just as well if not better in my opinion (judge for yourself) - is pure of ingredients and leaves your brushes looking & feeling amazing! Why not make your own - it takes a second to combine everything together - these three simple ingredients are definitely in your kitchen right now perhaps the white wine vinegar might be the one that might be a question mark, but it has so many beneficial uses which I will save for another day - that you need to make it a staple on your shopping list.

BEFORE:
Only after snapping this picture did I truly realise - just look at how much dirt is on the middle brush in the before picture! The last time I cleaned my brushes was last week - imagine if you don't clean your brushes for LONGER!! (which has frighteningly been the case before)
AFTER:
The aftermath is amazing, it leaves the texture of the hairs so soft, it really cleans and removes the stains of the makeup products. I really am happy with the result and I know you will be too.
YOU WILL NEED:
- x1tbsp of White Vinegar
-x 1tbsp of Dish Soap
- x1cup of Warm Water
HOW TO:
Start by adding x1 tbsp of dish soap in a glass jar or any container to that will allow you to mix your brushes in, you could even add it in a squeezy bottle and wash your brushes over the sink for easier use.
Just add your second and special ingredient: white wine vinegar.
Just top it up by adding your warm water and fill it up to the top. Mix with a spoon to combine the three ingredients together and to make your cleanser existent.
There you have it: you can do it there and then before cleaning your brushes. It's super effortless and super effective.
Get your hand towel handy, and you are ready to get your brushes clean.
I used a lemon scented dish soap with gives this cleanser a nice boosted smell, I'm sure a small drop of essential oil could work for an added scent.
As you can see this brush is covered in bronzer, this is right before giving it a clean.
I honestly usually don't wash my brushes this way - I do it over the sink which is mess-free and easily applicable, although this method is equally as good and I might to start doing it this way. Both are good. the focus here is the cleanser, the method you choose to clean them is completely your choice. Either way the result will be the same.
It has removed all of the product and has brought my brush hairs back to it's natural colour.
I let my brushes soak for a good minute. This is to make sure that the brushes gets to soak into the liquid.
Just pat dry your brushes with a hand towel to get rid of any surplus water. You can either let your brushes dry naturally which might take longer so it's best to do it after having applied makeup and letting the day for them to dry, or if you urgently need to use them - you could always speed up the process by using a hair dryer and have them instantly usable again.
