(Cardigan - Massimo Dutti, Knee high boots, top & jeans - ZARA, Sunglasses - YSL)

Don't you just love it when the sun is out? I got to spend my special day in Malta - sure some wind still occured so it's not totally hot to stay without a cardigan/jacket - but it just makes everything so much more pleasant. All I needed on my day was just some sunshine and some quality time with the people I love, which is exactly what I got to do. My grandparents organised a family lunch so that I could celebrate with everyone - considering in a week I don't get to see everyone this was perfect occassion to catch up/ say bye.  I wanted to stay dressed casual especially when it comes to grandads cooking, that top button of your trousers you'll either pop it open or it will pop itself open and i mean it - yet, being the birthday girl I still wanted to dress the part  and look remotely presentable. This lightweight maxi cardigan fits the part perfectly - it's super cosy yet still chic enough to compliment my ensemble. This was one of the best bargains as I had got it in the clearance sale for just £10. I followed my day by going round the shopping centre with my mum and followed up by meeting my good friend for a sushi overload to be exact and perhaps the same amount of wine. It's fun celebrating being a year older.
